Don't let the restaurant in a hotel deter you. First the ambiance was nice. Large open floor plan and they had the large doors open. It was not hot at all. Huge bar with great selection. Our waitress was great. Felt like we were her only table. Service was prompt, and we never had to look for here. We always had what we needed. She had great drink recommendations. Now on to the food. Chilli rubbed Pork belly appetizer was phenomenal. Crispy and spicy and tender. Pork chop was cooked to order. Thing was thick and tender. Would absolutely go back.

Met some friends here for dinner last night. The vibe is super cool is modern and fun. The interior tree added an extra cool ambience to the interior. We happen to be seated under an air-conditioning vent and it was quite chilly inside. Our server Gracie must've had an off night. She wasn't very attentive and had an attitude. It seems to be a common theme in other reviews as well. Our friends were late but the place was dead so I don't think that was the issue. But you never know. We started off with some tacos, hummus, and wings. The tacos were quite spicy for most of the table. They could not eat them. The hummus was nice with the crackers and good flavor. The wings were excellent, unique flavor and very tasty. Also, the burger and a strawberry margarita, which was good, but if you order a second drink, it does become quite sweet. (that could be a personal thing) All in all we enjoyed most of the food and the atmosphere and would go back again. Ps they have Happy Hour every day!

The best part of Caracara is the atmosphere. There are lots of really gorgeous lighting fixtures, including some red and green glass fixtures over the bar that almost look like apples and pears. The focus is the giant tree in the middle of the dining room with seating all around it. There are some seating areas with sofas to drink cocktails at and a couple of private rooms. The patio outside is lovely, with lemon trees and plants all around and gorgeous basket weave lighting fixtures. We had a reservation and receded immediately under the big tree in the dining room. Our server was good, despite appearing to be very busy. We ordered a couple of cocktails - -the Bale, which was fantastic with coconut, pineapple, and run, and the Haboob, a fruity and spicy drink. We ordered the Caracara Angus Burger, which is served with some of the best smokey seasoned waffle fries I've ever had. A bonus: a donation is made to the Children's Miracle Network every time one of these burgers is ordered. We also ordered the Fermin Iberico bone-in pork chop with peach chutney. Both were really good. Can't wait to get back there when the weather is cooler to sit in that gorgeous patio and try the sticky shrimp, which looked amazing as it passed us to be served to a different table.

I'm usually not a fan of hotel restaurants but this is an exception. Had a late dinner on the patio. Even though it was over 100 degrees it was lovely and cool. Came back for breakfast and had the Tasso Eggs Benedict.

Ate there for lunch - very nice vibe on a very hot PHX day. We both had caesar salads with shrimp and a bottle of wine. The caesar salads were unique with radishes and roasted tomatoes. The salad was a little overdressed but the dressing was great. Only speedbump was the croutons. The croutons were like a sweet cookie cube that didn't really work with the dish. Our service was excellent and we'll definitely be back.

I love the large patio! Nice ambiance. Inside, the bar and dining areas are huge. The food is delicious and prepared to order. The staff that I encountered were very pleasant. There is street and garage parking nearby. Accessible entrance.

Met up with some former coworkers for brunch, which was of course fun! The location is right inside the Sheraton downtown and the inside is beautiful! Our server, Janice, was great and dealt with all our demands like a pro! She gave us space, but was always around when we needed her. The food itself was pretty good. We shared the scone trio which was delicious! I'm not sure I could choose a favorite...ok, probably the bacon one. Yum! For my entree I had the frittata. It was pretty good. Others ordered the avocado toast, Buddha bowl, chicken & waffles, and the pork belly sandwich. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, though those who got the chicken & waffles said it was pretty spicy. And nobody at our table enjoyed the pickled strawberries. The drinks were flowing and we enjoyed our time. One coworker and I decided next time we come in for Brunch, we have got to share The Surf! We can't believe we didn't think of it before we ordered today. Overall a good selection and tasty food. They do validate parking in the Sheraton garage, which is great too because finding parking downtown is rough!

I went here for happy hour with one of my girlfriends. The menu had a great variety and their drinks were amazing! I thought these were huge serving sizes and the ambiance was upscale. We had great service and the price was so reasonable. Since our visit we have recommended this place to many of our friends. Definitely going to go back!

We were watching the Paper Kites last weekend and wanted to avoid the bustle of First Friday on Roosevelt, so the beautiful scenery of this restaurant is what caught my eye. It's at the bottom of the Sheraton hotel and across from Herberger Theater area so it's actually a quite convenient location to be! Then Piestewa cocktail that I ordered had proceeds that helped kids or similar so of course I ordered it! It was flowery and not too sweet. I loved my pan seared mountain trout on top of a bed of cilantro citrus rice. It was really good! I recommend ordering it especially if you wanted something on the lighter fare but still flavorful and still filling without being dense. My hubby had the burger and enjoyed it too. He wasn't that hungry though and shared it with one of our other friends. It's really beautiful in this restaurant. We sat under a giant lighted tree. The bar had glass blown lighting that looked like hanging apples and other fruits. Really aesthetic and inviting even if just grabbing a cocktail and not eating.

We tried Carcara for the first time during AZ Restaurant Week and it was phenomenal. All the food dishes we ordered were flavorful and delicious. My cocktail (the kingman) was the only thing I wouldn't order again. It was incredibly bland compared to my husband's spicy margarita, so we ordered another one of those to share. The gulf shrimp ceviche and corn soup were great starters. The short rib and scallops were well prepared, juicy, and scrumptious.
